Bjarne Werner Sørensen is a painter and printmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Bjarne Werner Sørensen has exhibited widely in Denmark and abroad. In 1985 he graduated from the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts. He has been in artist-residencies in Helsinki, Paris, Berlin and New York. He is a recipient of several grants and awards and his work is represented in numerous public collections and institutions, including The National Gallery of Denmark; and The New Carlsberg Foundation.

This year was dedicated ceramic painting. And here at the end of 2023, in collaboration with Galleriet Hornbæk, a "Colossal Jar" has been produced that is 110 cm high.

Visual artists Nanna Riis Andersen and Bjarne Werner Sørensen have come together to exhibit paintings, drawings, graphics and ceramic works at this year's autumn exhibition at Hirtshals Lighthouse. The exhibition is open from Saturday 14 October to Sunday 22 October 2023.
