From Spring Till Fall

The fact that the life and landscape of the Faroe Islands are deeply embedded in Bjarne Werner Sørensen can be witnessed in this photo installation, featuring an impressive 560 photos from taken the early spring to the late autumn of 1996.

Series of snapshots of family, friends, colleagues, birds and sheep are intersperced together with shots of coasts, houses, boats, fishing nets and exhibitions, along with numerous other subjects that captured the artist´s attention.

But they are not only documentation. This formidable photo collage is devided into motifs, so light, colour and structure also become an aesthetic feature. Randomly mixed up, together the various series constitute a larger narrative.
