Bjarne Werner Sørensen is a painter and printmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Bjarne Werner Sørensen is a Danish-Faroese artist known for his abstract paintings and graphic works. His works emphasize movement and contrast with gestural applied color and form, creating energetic compositions. He has exhibited extensively in Denmark and abroad since graduating from the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. He has held artist residencies in Helsinki, Paris, Bergen, Berlin, Iceland and New York. He has received several grants and awards, and his work is in numerous public collections and institutions, including the National Gallery of Denmark and the New Carlsberg Foundation.
